Dr. LEEBA BABU

Director

Dr.Leeba Babu is the Director of G. Karunakaran Memorial College of Management &Technology. Dr.Leeba is leading  business management expert with more than 22 years of professional experience in teaching, research and consultancy. She has served as Professor in management in various reputed B-schools under University of Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University and Cochin University of Science and Technology. Dr Leeba holds Doctorate degree in Management from University of Kerala. She is the third rank holder for Master of Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and secured second rank for Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management from the University of Kerala. She has also secured UGC NET in Management. She was the Professor for MBA and PGDM programmes at Cardinal Cleemis School of Management Studies (Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar) and Associate Professor at DC School of Management and Technology, Allama Iqbal Institute of Management, Mar Gregorios College of Law. She has also served as the Assistant Professor at School of Management and Business Studies, M. G. University department and University Institute of Technology. She was the Head and Coordinator of two  Centres of Excellence at Mar Gregorios College of Law at Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, viz., the Centre for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Centre for Internships and Placements.

Dr Leeba has been the Controller of Examination for the PGDM programme at Cardinal Cleemis School of Management Studies, Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar and Chief Examiner and Pass board member for MBA in University of Kerala and CUSAT.  She was also the Chief examiner and Pass board member for the five-year integrated LLB programme under the University of Kerala. She was the resource of PG Diploma programme in Management, Common wealth of Learning, Vancouver, Canada and State Institute of Educational Management & Training (Government of Kerala). She is the Managing Committee member and Treasurer of Indian Society of Training and Development, Trivandrum Chapter and member of All India Management Association and Trivandrum Management Association. She is also the member of TMA Women’s Committee. She has organized several management development programmes and workshops including state funded programmes of national  and international significance. Dr Leeba has extensive expertise in the areas of Marketing, Strategy and Leadership, Travel and Tourism Management, Innovations and Entrepreneurship and has presented and published several articles in these areas.

Associate Professor

Occupying the position of Associate Professor of the institution, having a teaching experience of 13.5 years. His experience in the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation and the Thiruvananthapuram District Co-operative Bank for a period of 8.5 years equipped his Industrial exposure. In the area of research, he has an experience of 4 years. He obtained doctorate in Management studies from the University of Kerala for the research contribution in the engagement of the Private sector in Backwater Tourism of Kerala. His Master Degree in Business Administration and Master Degree in Commerce from University of Kerala, augments his academic skill in the field of Accounting, Finance, Research, Operations and Management. He has 11 paper presentations, both National and International and 9 publications at his credit. He enjoys membership in Professional bodies like Kerala Academy of Social Sciences, Researchers’ Forum – Institute of Management in Kerala (IMK) – University of Kerala, IMATES – University of Kerala, FORE People etc. He is a registered guest faculty for various institutions coming under the Directorate of Technical Education, Kollam, Kottayam and Ernakulam. He also worked as  a faculty for the various courses conducted by SIDCO and M.G University.

Teaching experience of more than 6 years and professional experience as lawyer for more than 17 years. Experienced in co-ordinating seminars, inter collegiate fests and co-curricular activities for students. Co-ordinated CSR activities representing the institution. Presented various papers related to Company and Industrial Laws.

Ms Aswathy A has 3 years of teaching experience and also worked as HR Executive for an IT Company. She completed her graduation in Chemistry from All Saints College, affiliated to University Of Kerala and M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration) from G.K.M.C.M.T affiliated to University of Kerala, in the field of Human Resource Management and Operations Management. She also holds a MPhil Degree in Management from Institute of Management in Kerala. She has attended several national and international seminars and also have publications in national and international journals

She graduated Engineering with specialisation  in Electronics & Communication and obtained  MBA from University of Kerala in HR and Operations.
